Welcome to SoftInfo's Daily Routine. If you are like most people, you
could use a reminder of your events and activities; now, Daily Routine
brings you just that. It lets you manage and remember appointments,
meetings, calls, and many other events in your busy schedule, such as:
* Your dinner with the boss Tuesday as well as your partner's birthday
* The sales call to a potential client next Monday as well as your
dental appointment this Saturday
* The supplier who told you last month that there will be a 5% discount
on your shipment as well as the credit you received from returning a
gift tie to the shop in the mall
* Anything you need to schedule as well as anyone you want to keep in
touch with
Daily Routine brings you functions like AddressBook, Scheduler, TimeZone,
Calculator and Calendar to help you manage your activities with ease.
AddressBook lets you enter names, addresses and birthdates of friends.
Scheduler lets you record your appointments, meetings, telephone calls,
and tasks.
Some of the highlights of Daily Routine are the following:
* Daily schedule of your activities. When you sign on, Daily
Routine displays this month's calendar, with today's date
highlighted, and the schedule of your appointments, meetings, and
today's birthdays.
* Carryover reminders of birthdays. Each year, Daily Routine
displays, on the date they occur, the birthdays that you entered.
* Automatic backup of your data to a backup directory.
* TimeZone allows you to check time at other locations.
* Displays your schedule by Month and Day
* Keeps you posted on your open schedules.
* Simple on-screen entry and retrieval of information. When you
select a Daily Routine function, the system displays the
following:
- A Search Form, where you tell Daily Routine to add a new
record or search for an existing record. Daily Routine then
displays either:
- An Entry Form, where you enter information for a new record,
or read information for an existing record and, if you wish,
edit or delete the record.
- A Selection List if Daily Routine can search for more than
one record to meet your specifications. The Selection List
gives you a line-by-line listing of the records, from which you
select the specific record you need. Daily Routine then
displays the Entry Form discussed above.
* Ease of use with either a mouse or the keyboard. With a mouse, you
point to the item you want and click. With the keyboard, you use the
up and down arrows to point to the item and then use the Space Bar
or the ENTER key, depending on the circumstances.
This User's Guide is intended to guide you quickly through Daily Routine
functions with basic instructions and examples. The best way to use this
Guide is to go through the step-by-step instructions using your terminal.
The Guide also contains a brief appendix, listing the length, format and any
comments for each Daily Routine field.
